OnInOff and Alfa5: Gaming in Immersive Environments

At OnInOff, this belief led us to connect with Alfa5, the world’s largest XR Sports hub where sports, gaming, and next-gen tech converge in it’s space in Barcelona.There, alongside Alfa5, we created an immersive gaming experience called Flatball using our OnInOff platform.

Flatball is played in a 200-square-meter arena featuring high-quality, high-resolution projections across the playing surface. Players form two teams and compete in five-minute matches to score as many points as possible. 

With its real-time tracking system, this setup creates an entertaining way to exercise, compete in team competition, and experience the potential of future interactive environments.

The potential is limitless, imagine crafting any conceivable environment and bringing it to life with seamless interactivity. Soon, these tools won’t just belong to developers; they’ll empower a global community of creators to design, share, and collaborate.

Through this project, we discovered OnInOff’s remarkable adaptability for creation and real-time adjustments,  proving how this platform can shape the future of immersive experiences. 

One of the biggest challenges in this project was latency, where even the slightest delay between a player’s movement and the system’s response could disrupt the entire experience

By optimizing OnInOff’s tracking technology, we achieved seamless synchronization, turning what was once a noticeable lag into real-time precision. The result? A fluid, immersive gameplay experience where every motion feels instantaneous, making Flatball not just playable, but exhilarating.
